About LACEA LAMES 2022 Annual Meeting
The Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association Meeting (LACEA) and the Latin American Meeting of the Econometric Society (LAMES) are the most relevant academic events in the economics and econometrics fields in the region. This year, the 27th edition takes place in Lima and is hosted by Universidad del Pacifico, from November 3rd to 5th.
The objective of the conference is to encourage debates on important economic issues for the Latin American and Caribbean region through the active participation of academics, researchers, policy-makers, members of international organizations and students.
Lima is the capital and the largest city of Peru. Nowadays, the city is considered to be the political, cultural, financial and commercial center of the country. Internationally, it is one of the thirty most populated urban agglomerations in the world.
This year’s conference chair is Pablo Lavado (Universidad del Pacífico), the program chairs for LACEA are Alberto Chong (Georgia State University) and Ana Dammert (Carleton University) and the program chair for LAMES is César Martinelli (George Mason University).
